Locanda Marita History

Locanda Marita was founded in 1957, when Marsilio and Teresa decided to take over Marita’s parents activity: indeed, they had been working as hotel managers in Finale Ligure since years, even before the 2nd World War. We are talking of Post War Years, characterized by the “Economic boom” and growth: in that period, Locanda Marita was a small family-run inn known as “da Marita”. A guest house, nothing exceptionable, just a small and humble hotel of 9 bedrooms, with no bath within, but enough for that period: cleaning and customers welcome were the only requirements and they represented also Marita’s peculiarity, as the treatment was customer- tailored thanks to the family-run business...

Locanda Marita hotel consists of 6 bedrooms, of which 2 double bedrooms and 3 twin rooms - all including bathroom - and 1 single bedroom with a separate dedicated bathroom. All bathrooms are equipped with shower and hair dryer. Bedrooms have been completely restyled in their furnishing and are provided with TV-sets, intercom, ceiling fan as well as heating system for the annual activity. All bedrooms have a name which recalls a village or a head quarter of Finale, sich as Calvisio, Pia, Perti, Marina, Varigotti e Borgo.
